Rorick and Lane Stable on Top In Earnings at Ak-Sar-Ben AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 28. W. D. Rorick and L. O. Lane and their 31-horse string from Johnson, Kans., continue to lead all stables at the Ak-Sar-Ben track as the Omaha civic organizations 35-day meeting goes into its final week. Rorick and Lane now have earned purses totaling 5,495 and hold a thin lead over second place to J. K. Houssels, Las Vegas, Nev., hotel man, whose good handicap runner, Lefty James, has accounted for much of Houssels 5,105 in purse money. C. E. Brown, Jr., Scottsdale, Ariz., is third among leading stables with 4,792.50. Others among the top 10 at Ak-Sar-Ben are, in order: Fred Wyse, Houston, Tex.; Gold Tree Stable, Azusa, Calif.; G. and W. Chultz, Marland, Okla.; Dr. T. M. Johnson, Del Rio, Tex.; Ed Luther, Wisnert Nebr..; Jesse Byrd, Las Vegas, Nev., and White Spot Farm, Omaha, Nebr.
