Modern Detroit Press Box DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 28. Facilities for the working press at the Detroit Race Course are as good as at any track in the nation, in the opinion of Paul Chandler, director of publicity. The unique press box won several prizes for architectural design when it was constructed five years ago. It is air-conditioned and elevator-serviced. Writers have individual desks. Adjacent to the working area is a new lounge furnished with modern chairs, lamps and tables. The floor of the press box and lounge Is constructed of polished tile.
