Amsterdam Purse Attracts Sextet South Point, Bicarb, Fair Brother and King Jolie Go in Route Test AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 28. The ,000 Amsterdam Purse, an allowance event at a mile and one-sixteenth, is the best offering on Tuesdays Aqueduct program. This event has attracted a field of six, including Vernon G. Cardys Nemrod TJ., an imported five-year-old by Nasrullah, of whom little is known and who is probably destined for a career over the obstacles. Mrs. Jules Schwartz Fair Brother, who "got good" just about this time last year, is the topweight in the Amsterdam with 123 pounds, but has showed nothing in his two starts this year. "William Nobles South Point, 108, and Mrs. Phil Biebers Bicarb, 116, both finished far in front of Fair Brother last Tuesday, when both were beaten by the vastly improved Crash Dive. South Point and Bicarb finished six lengths apart in that order under the same I weights they carry Tuesday, while Fair j Brother picks up an additional six pounds. While he put in a good prep since his last race he hardly can be expected to improve the 18 lengths that separated him from South Point last week. Bill Boland will ride Fair Brother, apprentice Jimmy Cangemie will be oh South Point, while Ted Atkinson will guide Bicarb. Almost all of South Points races this year have been good and he looms a solid choice. Stephen Messanas King Jolie, 116, and Janet A. Kelleys Scollay Square, 113 pounds, complete the Amsterdam field. King Jolie set the pace and tired, then turned in a slightly better effort in his . last two races since he was claimed from Isidor Bieber. Though finishing sixth behind Impulsivo at Tuesdays distance on Friday, his race was good enough to give him some sort of chance here. Gene Rodriguez will ride. Scollay Square comes from a dull effort at Monmouth Park, but comes from a dan- gerous barjjiijpi. bi, - jKes-v fcr wisea
