OFF AT 2:321 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. , Start good. Won easily; second and third driving. SLAMMINHARP quickly wore down the leaders under urging on the turn and drew away in the stretch to. win easily. LEE LERNER held a clear early lead, was no match for the winner, but continued well to best OPIUM WAR. The latter was guided to an opening on the rail and loomed dangerously at the head of the stretch, but hung. BATTLEWORN began sluggishly, and lost ground circling horses. BOGIE MISS raced well out in the track and gradually weakened. ARDENTLY could not keep up racing between horses early, but raced well through the stretch. BIG MEDAL was forced to racewide. The latter, steadied while racing between horses on the turn, could not reach the winner when set down for the final run. WARMED OVER was in slightly close quarters and under restraint on the turn, then lacked a rally STAR Z. lost considerable ground racing outside the first flight and weakened. GINGER BOOTS was under occtsional restraint down the backstretch, then was slow responding when put to pressure on the turn, but closed well in the late stages and won going away. FLAMING PRINCE made a mild bid under urging on teh turn, then appeared to hang entering the stretch, but attempted to rally in company with the winner and bested SENGA. The latter easily established a long lead, raced along freely into the last furlong and weakened. BESSIES BEAU gradually made up distance from a slow beginning, but lacked a sufficient rally. NIGHT BAKER, allowed to lag far off of the early pace, picked up speed after a half-mile and smoothly raced past the leaders while winningwith speed in reserve DREAM OF GLORY was urged into closer contention after settling into the backstretch, gradually wore down STORMY PETREL to reach the front between calls on the final turn, then was no match for the winner PUNKIN VINE rallied just behind DREAM OF GLORY and appeared threatening on the turn, but weakened in the final drive. STORMY PETREL raced out to a long lead while under a strong hold, was rated setting the pace, but faltered after six furlongs. MR. FIRST faltered. DINNER WINNER, allowed to settle in stride, swung outside the leaders at the head of the stretch; closed fast and was up in the last stride. BROKEN PROMISE was under pressure rapidly racing into contention from the outside down the backstretch, opened a clear lead for the final run and appeared safely in front, but was too much used and tired. RAM 0 WAR was intermittently . restrained behind the first flight, then could not stay with the winner in the drive, but finished well. THE SPANIEL was rated closest to the pace and weakened when called upon. OCEAN BREEZE gradually dropped back while racing inside of horses, then came again when steered to the outside on the stretch turn. DANDOLO was hustled along in front and faltered. EXPLETIVE quit. TRIPLE LIE was nicely steadied racing outside the top pair, gradually wore down SERGEANT MONK to take a clear lead in the drive and lasted to stave off BILLIES BEAM. The latter worked forwardly placed between horses, came to the outside in the last three-sixteenths and closed determinedly, NIGHT OFF appeared dangerous rallying in the early stretch, but hung.
