J. MURPHY ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 21. A small field is scheduled to face starter Roy Dickerson in the 0,000 added Cleopatra Handicap, to be run here Wednesday. But eight have been named and three are from the Hasty House Farm. The Cleopatra is for three-year-old fillies at one mile, and if all go to the post the race will have a 2,125 gross value. In Reserve, owned by Alberta Ranches, Inc., and to be ridden by the veteran Johnny Longden, is the highweight with 119 pounds and has drawn number seven post position. In Reserve, a stakes winner at Santa Anita last winter, will be making her first appearance on a Chicago track. Besides the Hasty House trio of Alspal, Miss Energy and Fleur dAmour, In Reserve will be going against Ada L. Rices Nimble Doll, Hill-N-Dale Farms Countess Anita, Greenacres Stock Farms Mrs. Marks, and the filly Mazza, owned by the partnership of E. M. Anderson and G. C Olsen. Longden to Have Mou. Longden is flying in from California to take the mount on In Reserve. It will mark the first time he has been in action here in a number of years, although he put in an appearance as a guest on Johnny Adams Day at Balmoral. In Reserve will be making her first start since having finished fifth in the Coaching Club American Oaks at Belmont last" month. Earlier she was fourth in the Acorn Stakes and second in an allowance race at the same track. She was bred by Longden and won two of her four outings as a two-year-old last year. Her first essay was in the Coronet Stakes at Balmoral in which she finished sixth. Last season Alspal was victorious twice in nine outings, her most notable triumph coming in the Mademoiselle Stakes at Washington Park when she trimmed the highly regarded Lea Lane. She was second in the Durazna at Hawthorne, third in the Arlington Lassie, and fourth in the Princess Pat Miss Energy, in her most recent race, was third in the Coronet Stakes and produced a good effort back of Insouciant and Bobbelle. She won three of her five earlier races, including two straight at Hialeah. Pleur dAmour, who was not raced as a two-year-old, has yet to win her first purse. Her best at the Balmoral meeting was a third.. Inside post position in the Cleopatra has been drawn by Countess Anita. She was a costly yearling who has failed to live up to early expectations. Countess Anita has started eight times this season and failed to be successful. Mrs. Mark was winner of her last start at Balmoral and will be making her first stakes try of the year. Nimble Doll will be ridden by Willie Har-tack, at present Americas leading jockey. In her last start Nimble Doll was fourth in" the Betsy Ross Stakes at Garden State Park. Her top stakes effort of the year was a close up second in the Miss Maryland Stakes at Bowie. Mazza ran a good race in the Kentucky Oaks to be third back of i -Lalun. Shexregistered a couple of thirds at Balmoral.
