Louis Ordered to Tax Court Former world heavyweight champion Joe Louis yesterday was ordered to appear here June 27 before the U. S. Tax Court, which is seeking to collect 49,611 in income taxes. Louis, part owner of a night club at Las Vegas, Nev., has declared he is unable to pay the taxes, which were levied on income in 1946 and 1947.
