Cox, Koehler, Tucker Top Race Card at Raceway Park Tonight Tom Cox of Chicago may further close the gap between him and point-leader Bud Koehler of Blue Island tonight in the 25th stock car meet of this year at Raceway Park, 130th and Ashland ave. Adding to the tight race will be Bryant Tucker of Oak Park, who returned to racing after an absence because of an illness, and won his fifth feature of the season. Tucker, by winning another one tonight, could tie the feature marks of both Koehler and Cox. Also figuring in the tightened race for the season title are Rich Stukus of Oak Lawn in third place, Bun Emory of Bangor, Me., in fifth spot; Ted Janecyk of Calumet Park, sixth; Irv Janicki, seventh; Bob Button of Midlothian, who moved into eighth place from 12th, and Harry Mqyer of Chicago, moved up from 13th to ninth this week. Other drivers who improved their standings include Bob Pohlman of Oak Lawn, Lou Panico, Evergreen Park; Dick Bell, Verne Mullennix, Rudy Horiha, Ben Amunds, Jack Oudshoorn and Bud Knoelk, all of Chicago. Time trials tonight will start at 7 p.m., the first race at 8:30 oclock.
