Bradley Annexes Popular Aqueduct Sprint Victory Arcaro Gets Iselin Gelding to Wire Well Before Black Record By J. SWEENEY GRANT Staff Correspondent AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y June 21. Unleashing a powerful stretch attack Mrs. C. Oliver Iseiins Bradley encountered but a minimum of difficulty here today in registering a popular victory in the featured Ozone Park Purse. With Eddie Arcaro, who was attaining his second saddle success of the humid afternoon, in the irons, the Winner took command with a rush when ready entering the stretch of the six furlong dash and continued on gamely thereafter to prevail by two and one-half lengths over Edward Seinfelds Black Record. It was a head back to the Main Chance Farms Black Metal, who led the Lester Manor Stables Affrighted by one and three-parts lengths. The race marked the initial metropolitan appearance of the American-Japanese saddlemite, George Taniguchi. The diminutive youngster, who was injured shortly after his arrival in New York from the West Coast, was astride Black Metal for his contract employer. Bradley, the top weighted member of the group under a 120-pound impost, answered the bugle as the six to five favorite with the 17,082 spectators who visited the afternoon of sport. The winner was clocked his six furlong assignment over the lightning fast strip in 1:11. The race also marked the endeavor of Morris H. Dixon, Jr., to achieve the training "wonder" of the year. He saddled the steeplechase performer River Jordan for the abbreviated dash. River Jordan competed in about two-mile "through the field" event two weeks ago at Belmont Park. However, his charge raced better than would be expected while finishing fifth in the field of eight shifty allowance sprinters. Black Record forged to the front as the field left the gate but almost immediately was replaced by Chrysolite, who led his rivals into the first turn. Chrysolite stepped the quarter in :25 and the half in :47 flat, but began to weaken thereafter and was supplanted by Monarch More and , Black Record.
