WISE PENNY steadily worked way forward to the stretch, closed determinedly when set down in the drive and, racing BROWN BUBBLE into defeat won going away. The latter began fast; disposed of DAISY CUTTER entering the stretch but could not stay with the winner. DAISY CUTTER raced well to the stretch, then faltered. RAYS CONNIE could not keep up. CLEVER MISS raced wide. JUST A MOMENT was never prominent. JANICES GIRL had no mishap. REWARDMENOW had no excuse. FREE HYMA raced far back throughout. SO GRAND, never far back and well ridden, responded I readily when set down for the stretch run and, disposing of HARVEST TIME, won going avay. The latter took an early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch, but could not withstand the top one, although much the best of the others. DR. FELIX had early speed, but failed to stay. ROSE OF GREY began alertly, but dropped back after the start and could not stay in serious contention. BELRIA tired after racing well to the stretch. ENDON dropped back after starting alertly and saved ground to the siretch, lost ground when sent around the field at the final turn, then responded readily when set down in the drive and wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. BRIGHT SHOES, well placed from the start, reached the lead during the stretch run, but could not withstand the winner, Just missing. SPEED 0 LIGHT lacked early speed, but finished well when hard ridden through the stretch. BEST FLEET raced with BETTYS BEAUTY to the stretch, then weakened. The latter, away sluggishly and outrun to the last three-eighths, saved ground during the drive and closed strongly, but could not overtake the winner, just missing. NORMANS WEED gave a good effort and had no mishap. HAPPYS SAM was unable to reach the leaders when set down in the drive. DAN PAT had early speed, but failed to stay. EXAGGERATED quit.
