/ Mr. Fitz Hopefuls In Splendid Moves RicciTavi Timed 1:41% Mile While Workmate, Thinking Cap, Is Clocked in 1 :422/s By PALMER HEAGERTY PIMLICO, Baltimore. Md., May 14.— Christiana Stables Ricci Tavi and Thinking Cap, who have been assigned 121 and 118 pounds respectively, for Fridays renewal of the 5,000 added Mr. Fitz Handicap, this morning turned in pleasing trials of one mile. Working in company, Ricci Tavi moved away from his companion in the late stages and finished out the distance in 1:41%. Thinking Cap, who has yet to go postward this season, completed the distance in 1:4225. Another prospect for the mile and three -sixteenths pre-Preakness headliner, Roslyn Farms Go Lightly, was sent six furlongs by trainer Frank A. Bonsai. Over a track which had been considerably dampened by overnight rains, but which was in a better condition than at any time during the meeting, the son of Faultless was timed in 1 :"1325, handily. He is in the Mr. Fitz under 114 pounds. Nahodah Goes Half Mile Trainer Bonsai also sent Montpeliers Nahodah a good half mile in :48, handily. This fellow concluded his 1956 campaign with four successive victories and returned to competition last week with a clever local score. Three entrants in tomorrows 0,000 added Black Eyed Susan — Dhu Varren Farms Cousin Con, Montpeliers Brabant Rose and Brandywine Stables Summer Song — had their final blow-outs during the morning, each going three furlongs. Cousin Con was timed in :3524. handily, while the other two required :36 while moving along in similar fashion. While all talk of Calumet Farm revolved around the sensational one-mile work of Iron Liege and the enforced inactivity of Gen. Duke, two lesser members of the string turned in satisfactory five-furlong trials during the morning period. Amoret, winner of the Columbiana and Black Helen handicaps at Hialeah during the winter, was caught in 1:02, breezing, while Sharps-burg turned in identical time while gonig handily.
