ROYSIE R. went to the front at once, saved ground while making the pace to the stretch, then drew clear without need of urging. TUCKY MISS raced nearest ROYSIE R. after the start, was unable to reach the latter but held on well to best the others. VEHICLE could not better his position when set down through the stretch. GRAY GOWN gave a fair effort and had no mishap. GAY REAPER began sluggishly and was never dangerous. JONTER, on the outside throughout, failed to respond when set down for the drive. Ayers, bred by Estate of R. G. Martin. IN GATE-5:15. OFF AT 5:15 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. EVIE ANN steadily worked her way forward to the stretch, was taken out slightly for the drive and, closing strongly under brisk handling, disposed of the leaders and won going away. ALTICO, a keen factor from the start, went to the front approaching the stretch, settled for the drive with a short lead but could not hold the top one. CURRO FIZZ saved ground throughout, held on well to the last eighth, then faltered. BROWN OSCAR lacked early foot but finished willingly in the middle of the track. GARDEN HAN was never dangerous. COMMOBAR began slowly. CORK SCREW, weakly handled, was through early. FIVE CARAT raced well to the stretch but had nothing left for the drive. Overwight— Evie Ann, 1 pound; Altico, 4.
