Consisting of five who have raced at this meeting wih the balance being invaders from various ovals, the local derby will be decided at the distance of one mile and one furlong and offers 6,000 added money. In the event of no scratches the gross value of the race will be 0,260 with the winner netting 8,980. Top weight of 120 pounds will be carried by Louis Lee Haggin n.s Manteau ,to be ridden by Kenneth Church, with 116 pounds being the burden of Mrs. C. B. Fischbachs Federal Judge, T. A. Grissoms Shan Pac, Leo CahTouettes Here Come Joe, A. Colellas Ten Oclock, William J. Sprow Jr.s Cardinal Sin and Vernon D. Feins Some Classic. R. R. Thomas Razor, J. A. Prices Dorchester Farm stables Air Won- Field for Ohio Derby 6,000 Added, Three -Year-Olds One and One-Eighth Miles P.P. Horse. Jockey. Razor, Ten Oclock, Jet Comet, Here Come Joe and Cardinal Sin, winner of last Saturdays Derby Trial, have been starters at this meeting. . . Riders journeying here to participate in the event include Church, J. R. Adams to handle Shan Pac, Ralph Borgemenke who will be aboard Some Classic and Norman Cox who will ride Air Wonder. Of the nominees. Federal Judge and Cardinal Sin wereseen on the track this morn-f ing. Federal Judge, under the supervision of trainer J. V. Pence, turned in a half mile in :53 and was merely galloping at the end of his move. Cardinal Sin was timed in 1:07% for five-eighths as his rider only sat still and let him breeze over the soft footing. The track remained slow during the morning. Trainer George W. Carter had Tender Morsel on the track for galloping Wednesday and this morning and states his performer will have his final work tomorrow morning. By tonight all the candidates are expected to be on the scene. Among the late arrivals are Some Classic arrving from Chi-cage today, Air Wonder who will be planed here from Delaware Park and Roman Request will make the journey from New York also by plane.
