Widener, internationally known sportsman, who lives in Philadelphia and maintains his breeding establishment El-mendorf Farm, in Kentucky, won two consecutive runnings of the rich Belmont Stakes in New York. He won in 1933 with Hurryoff and repeated in 1934 with his home-bred Peace Chance. Hurryoff ran the distance in 2:32 and won 0,490; Peace Chance ran the course in 2:29 and won 3,410,
