The latter, rank at the start, during which she unseated , her rider three times, began very slowly, improved her position on the inside,, was guided to the outside in the stretch and closed determinedly. PULL CORD, hustled along throughout, was forced wide after entering the stretch and held on well. IMPERIAL SCOUT, away fastest of all and on the inside, was forced back at - the far turn, but came again in the stretch. MARCHING MAN took command under energetic handling, established a clear advantage early, increased his margin in the stretch, tired fast in the last stages and outfinished JULES LAZARD. The latter, forced to lose ground when improving his position, was sent to the extreme- outside for the drive and was fast wearing the winner down at the end. ROLODO, slow to start, worked her way forward steadily, was guided through the inside for the drive and finished strongly. IMPERIAL LU, used up in the pace, tired fast in the final sixteenth. WILL DO took command at once, gave way to the winner and tired fast in the final sixteenth. SLIPPERY JIM raced wide in the stretch. WAHCOO, under strong restraint from the start, bore out badly at the far turn, came again when straight, but again bore out entering the stretch and tired thereafter.
