NEW CAMERA FOR LONG BRANCH OPENING TODAY TORONTO, Ont., June 8 Racing in the Toronto district shifts scenes with the opening of the seven-day meeting of the Long Branch Jockey Club. Long Branch track is situated six miles from the heart of the city and is the newest among the Toronto tracks and the pride of the Orpen-Hare racing interests. Long Branch has been groomed to perfection for the opening and with the years added growth of the shrubbery and trees, presents a picturesque setting. Long Branch is the first track in the dominion to install a motion picture machine for the photographing of the finishes and they have dispensed with still camera they introduced to racegoers last season. The new camera is a special Bell-Howell and is capable of taking 130 pictures a second and meets all specifications set up by the board of racing commissioners. For the further -protection of the public the asso ciation has adopted the saliva test, and all horses at the track will be subject to the test if called upon by the stewards.
