BLACK MISCHIEF improved his position steadily after forcing his; way through at the stretch turn, finished fast on the outside and wore down FLOPSIE in the final drive. The latter raced close to the pace from the start, assumed command inside the final eighth, then held on well. GLASTONBURY dwelt slightly at the break, was outrun to the stretch turn, improved his position thereafter and finished fastest of all. FLYING VICTORY, fractious at the post, moved, up fast on the outside, saved ground entering the stretch, then hung. ELWAWA broke in motion and was taken in; hand when outrun, responded in the stretch run, but hung at the finish. BAREBACK showed early speed, saved ground and had no mishaps. WANTARUN showed a good effort. GOLD CROSS was knocked back after the break. MASKER saved ground. LITTLE DOGGIE quit badly. SEMAPHORE was knocked back after the break. BUDGET BOY showed a good effort throughout, improved his position through the final quarter mile, but could not menace the winner. CANIENTO outran his field at the first turn and had no mishaps. RUTH WRACK, a trailer the first mile and a half, made up some ground at the end. HONOR BRIGHT had no mishaps. CLONARD made a bad landing at the eighth fence and tired thereafter.
