TJnder: a mild hand ride, Siam was clocked the eight panels in 1:41, and Grey Gold was driving at the end of his task, which was timed in 2:09. Siam went along at an even clipi reeling of f the quarter in :24, the half mile in :49, and the - three-quarters in 1:15. Grey Golds fractions were :25; :49, 1:14, 1:41, and 154. Blond Reel joined in with him for the final half mile. Grey Count, which carried Anthony Pelle-teris colors to victory in the Louisiana Derby, and finished second to Case Ace in the Illinois Derby, heads the list of Pontchartrain eligibles, which also includes Old Nassau, Black Sleeve, Jelly Roll, Sun Power, Rome Haul, Eddie H., Navarre, Kermay, Good Catch, Sweepalot, Nad and Chalphone. The stewards announced that an examination made of Chatterly, which was pulled up during the running of the seventh race Moday, revealed that he had a swollen knee and he-would not be permitted to start until passed upon by the track veterinarian.
