SIR WINDSOR set a fast pace, saved ground turning for home and just missed. BORDER QUEEN broke well, was outrun for a half mile, but closed fastest of all. SUNDAD, well back for a half mile, made a bold bid, but faltered in the stretch. SIR ROSE had fine early speed, but was bothered leaving the back stretch and never recovered. JOAN ASBESTOS, shuffled back, at the half-mile post, had no chance thereafter. RISE AND SHINE was being eased up after showing speed to the stretch. Scratched 41006 Balcony, 103. REX FLAG, fractious at the post, broke slowly, saved ground entering the back stretch and again at the stretch turn, but was not good enough. SCROOGE, sent to the front with a rush, was tiring badly in the final sixteenth. PASHA had fine speed to the stretch, then tired. LITTLE SLEEPER failed to find racing room for half a mile and quit when clear. SWAHILI, off poorly, had no chance thereafter. JACKIE D. quit after going a half mile and was eased up.
