I BLUE BONNETS TURF NOTES The stable of A. J. Halliwell of Toronto, Ont., is en route to Montreal from Toronto and will be unloaded at Blue Bonnets Sunday morning. The shipment included eighteen head and will remain for the balance of the Quebec season. Andre Folt, local patron, left for Toronto, where he will purchase two new additions to his stable. A shipment comprising two carloads of horses arrived at Blue Bonnets Saturday morning from Dufferin Park, Toronto. The shipment includes R. F. Formans Sun Fish and Barbette, Mrs. W. Drinkwaters Castie and Bagamac, H. Dowds Westys Butler, Pat Mulhalls Candy Pat and Broadway Miss, and two homebred juveniles, Young Keonig and Eileen J., the property of W. F. Monteith. Presiding steward Richard A. Leigh advised horsemen whips will not be carried on juveniles until they have started at least three times. A shipment including Miss CarmichaeFs Achras and Depressin Chink, W. L. Sales Fay Vixen, J. A. ONeals Maemere and Mr. Wildwood, Mrs. E. C. Barkers Mina S. and R. H Wales Black Stockings loaded at Dufferin Park following the final days racing and departed for Blue Bonnets. Eddie Bowie disposed of the homebred plater, Leo D., to R. F. Carman, local patron, at private terms. Leo D. is an eligible foi the running of the Quebec Kings Plate, closing day feature of the Blue Bonnets meeting. Jockey E. Nash, Spanish rider, arrived from Dujfferin Park with the stable in charge of W. Drinkwater, and will do their saddle duty in Quebec. Work on the infield of the Mount Royal course of the Back River Jockey Club for a steeplechase course has been started by the management, and jumping events will be given on as many days as entries warrant. Marty Schenker, business manager of the Mount Royal course, is preparing the course, and many improvements will be made before the July 10 opening.
