CONDITIONS FOR PREAKNESS STAKES OF 1938 AND 1939 STANTON, Del., June 26. Nomination blanks for the 1938 and 1939 runnings of the Preakness are being distributed here. They have just been released by Frank J. Bryan, racing secretary at Pimlico, and the closing is set for July 15. Conditions for next years Preakness call for a subscription of 5, second payment of 00 on November 15 and starting fee 00. Supplementary nominations at ,500 each may be made by April 15. The first payment to the 1939 running is 0, with second payment of 5 due on August 15, 1938, and third payment of 00 on April 15, 1939, with the supplementary closing at ,500 also being due on the latter date.
