PRES. GREGORYS STATEMENT HOMEWOOD, 111., June 26. President Walter L. Gregory of the Washington Park Jockey Club this afternoon made the following statement: "Although the Washington Park meeting did not come up to our expectations this spring, we do feel somewhat encouraged by the response of the racing public during the last twelve days. "However, it is still our belief that Chicago will support the best racing with valuable stake events, and it is our desire to continue along the same lines."
