BOWLES MAKES DEBUT HOMEWOOD, 111., June 26. Apprentice Frank Bowles, 17-year-old Louisville boy, had his first mount of the meeting when he rode Starab in the second race Saturday. Bowles, who scales around 104 pounds, is under contract to the Chappel Bros.
