CONTINUE GILBERT SUSPENSION HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., April 27.— It was learned here from unofficial but usually reliable sources that at a meeting of the Maryland Racing Commission, held in Baltimore today, that the suspension of jockey Johnny Gilbert would be continued until September 16 "unless something happens in the meantime." Gilbert incurred the ire of the governing body when, after being interrogated by the officials, he gave conflicting evidence regarding the running of the "ringer," Bye Bye Will, at Pimlico, last spring. It was thought that Gilberts punishment would have terminated on May 1, but it was reported that further acts on his part influenced the commission to add the additional punishment. It was not possible to get complete details of the commissions ruling from this point as the decision was arrived at late in the afternoon.
