1 NARRAGANSETT PARK NOTES I $ — ® Three candidates for the Portsmouth Handicap, §5,000 added mile and one-sixteenth feature of Saturdays racing, worked Thursday morning. Felix Spatolas Wise Prince breezed the six furlongs in 1:18%. Polly Hastings and Be Jabbers, the R. A. Coward entry, worked a half mile in :49 and five furlongs in 1:03%. Sun Inplay, K. A. Veits candidate for the Portsmouth Handicap, arrived from New York. The Sun Briar colt has been assigned 111 pounds in the stake. Trainer J. Dwyer will saddle the horse. Jockey Don Meade left for New York, where he will ride Early Delivery at Jamaica Saturday. Meade expects to be back in New England next week. Apprentice E. Meyers, under contract to J. Deneguolo, Patterson, N. J., silk manufacturer, arrived. He will have his first mount here Friday. Mrs. M. E. Charles shipped the filly Peanut Lady to Jack Wrights Whitinsville, Mass*., farm to be turned out for the summer. Jack Healy shipped in four head from Maryland. The shipment also included five head for J. T. Howard and one, for V. Williams.
