1 JAMAICA TURF NOTES j s : — — $ Jockey J. Renick left for Havre de Grace to ride at that point. Jockey R. Workman made his first appearance under colors this season on any track when he guided Woodsia in the second race Thursday. Trainer Bob McKeever reported that his Free Child came out of its last race lamed and will be on the shelf for some time. Charley Reynolds, who has the horses of Veloz and Yolanda, has taken over the engagement book of jockey L. Balaski. Trainer James Fitzsimmons has taken second call on the services of jockey R. Olguin, a South American rider. The boy is under contract to J. E. Brown of .New Orleans. Alfred Schlenker left for his Chicago home for an indefinite period. The boy is laid up with blood-poisoning in his foot. Jockey J. Leyland arrived and applied for a license. He is under call to J. Pepp. Jockeys D. Meade and B. James are due back here Friday to ride. They spent the past few days out of town on stable engage ments. The first issue of the Belmont Park condition books was distributed among horsemen by Francis Dunne.
