Melvin Lewis left last night for Louisville, where he was to report to Tom Sanford, who trains the Brown Hotel Stable horses. W. G. Yanke, who colors were borne by j many crack horses a quarter of a century , ago, arrived and will go on to Louisville for the running of the Derby. • I Earl Sande stated Thursday that future plans for John Hay Whitneys Heather Broom have not been made. Sande is con- • sidering leaving the colt in Kentucky to fulfil his Derby engagement.
