John Burttschell, who recently resigned as assistant trainer of the J. P. Morgan stable, is a visitor. v Track superintendent J. E. Smith, of the Maryland Jockey Club, has completed work on the new drainage system at Pimlico. Danny Kearney reported that a colt out of the good mare, Masked Queen, arrived at the farm of Mrs. Helen Potter at Middle-burg, Va. The youngster is by the young sire, Brokers Tip, winner of the Kentucky Derby in 1933. Thirteen jumpers of the Thomas Hitchcock stable reached Pimlico from Aiken, S. C. Several new boxes are being built at Pimlico, which will be ready for the opening of the spring meeting. Mrs. Parker Comings Thanksgiving, an eligible for the 0,000 added Philadelphia Handicap, to be run Saturday, was unloaded at Havre de Grace shortly before the first race, Wednesday. Mrs. Mary E. Young is anxious to learn the whereabouts of Harry E. Simpson. He is urgently requested to send information to 5216 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio. Porters Mite, owned by W. E. Boeing, H. W. Jacksons Ariel Toy and W. I*. Branns Challedon are expected to move out of Havre de Grace on Thursday for Churchill Downs. This trio will receive their final preparation for the Derby on the scene of the big race.
