GENERAL R., forced wide from the start, was carried extremely wide by MARY ALLIE entering the stretch, came fast when straightened and got up in the final stride. STANISLAUS, outrun early, moved up after three-eighths, was lucky to find room through the field and closed resolutely. MARY ALLIE, hustled along from the start, swung wide entering the stretch and came again when inside the Final eighth. SUN SUITE, outrun for a half mile, finished strongly through the field. CATALONIA saved ground and tired. TRUE ENOUGH made up ground. STEARS was badly ridden and quit under pressure. RIDICULOUS, rushed to the front, was unable to draw clear, gave way to STEARS approaching the final quarter, regained the lead after entering the stretch and quit badly after five-eighths. EBONY HUE quit. MORISCO dropped out of contention after beginning fastest. Won driving; second and third the same. w" THEA DEAR, slow to begin and forced wide when improving her position, responded to strong urging when straightened in the stretch and, after wearing down the leaders, won drawing away. CENTUPLE, hustled along from the start, forged to the front nearing the final eighth and tired. SUNNY SWEDE, rushed to the leaders, was in close quarters in the drive, came fast when clear and probably was best. COLUMBIAS BOY began from outside of the stalls and quit. VINUM bore out throughout. GLEAM closed with a rush. ARLINE, away fastest but unable to keep up, showed an even effort throughout. BULLANNE, fast to begin and a strong factor to the stretch, lacked room approaching the final eighth and dropped back thereafter. DOUBLE CURL began slowest and was outrun. WITAN, hustled to the front on the inside, attained a clear lead rounding the upper turn, then gave way when challenged and tired slightly thereafter. BILL DONOGHUE raced wide while enjoying a contending position and tired. INVITING closed fast on the outside. CHANCEFUL made up ground. MISS WISE was dona after a half mile. The latter, steadied along early, improved his position when ready, established a good lead after disposing of CALEXICO, was unable to withstand the winner, but held on well. VISCOUNTY, reserved for five-eighths, raced forwardly on the outside, was forced out when the winner drove through on the inside and tired thereafter.* CALEXICO, hustled into a commanding lead during the opening three-eighths, set a fine pace for three-quarters, then gave way when challenged and tired rapidly in the drive. GRAND CHILD, a strong factor from the start, held on well. UPHOLD, rushed to the front, gave way to the winner, but saved ground thereafter though tiring in the drive and finished in a dead heat with FAY D. The latter, steadied along early, improved her position at a loss of ground, then dropped back approaching the stretch and tired steadily in the drive. BECOMING was outrun. The others showed nothing.
