LIGHTSPUR OUT OF DERBY LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 27— The hope of starting John Marschs Lightspur in the Kentucky Derby here on May 6 has been abandoned, according to trainer Roscoe Goose, who said he has not had sufficient opportunity to fit the horse for such a gruelling engagement as the Churchill Downs classic presents. Goose says Lightspur needs plenty of hot weather to be fitted for his best and the weather here this spring has been against his reaching that condition. Lightspur, which raced well as a two-year-old, has trained well as far as Goose has been able to take him and the Louisville horseman says the colt might develop later into one of the stars of the three-year-old division this summer.
