CHET GRANTS FINGER SEVERED NOTRE DAME, Ind., April 27.— Chet Grant, backfield coach at Notre Dame, had his little finger in his left hand severed at the second joint. The accident occurred in a South Bend filling station when the attendant dropped the cover of the trunk compartment while Grant was leaning on the car.
