TRUSTWORTHY showed speed from the start while saving ground, raced EGRESS into defeat, then held RED TIME safe in the final drive. The latter, slow to begin and outrun early, responded while saving ground and finished with a rush. EGRESS, fractious at the post, broke from outside of the stalls and forced the pace throughout, then faltered nearing the end. GIBOIR raced forwardly all the way and had no mishaps. STRUT was sent up fast on the outside after the start, was kept in a forward position to the stretch, then responded in the stretch and drew away after disposing of JIMS NIECE. SOIGNE was away fast and, taken back under restraint, was blocked trying to come through on the inside entering the stretch, then came to the outside and finished gamely. FOOLED was well up all the way and had no excuses in the running. ADDIS lacked early speed and finished well. STATE WITNESS responded when urged and faltered in the final strides. JIMS NIECE showed early speed, then quit. CHARMING HEROD had no mishaps. WOODSIA began slowly and was outrun. Overweight — Woodsia, 4£ pounds. THIRD RACE 5-8 MILE. MESS moved up stoutly rounding the stretch turn while on the outside, responded to urging in ,the stretch and wore down WESTING in the final drive. The latter showed speed from the start, shook off WEAR AND TEAR rounding the turn and held on well to the end. GAUDY responded in the stretch and finished with good courage. FORTUNATE BOOP was away poorly. BISONETTE began slowly. SHEPY was away poorly. GOOSE GIRL raced greenly. FORTISSIMO broke greenly. GWYNNE H. raced greenly. CROSS QUESTION was close up from the start and held on well to the end. ONE-TENTH showed an even effort throughout. BALLINDERRY moved up fast and faltered. DARK CHANNELLE began slowly. EARLY SETTLER, in near pursuit of the pace from the start and under steady restraint, responded to urging in the stretch, disposed of PASTRY and held on gamely to the end. UNHERALDED was taken back when outrun in the early stages, improved his position in the stretch and finished with a rush. CISNEROS was sent up on the inside in the run through the back stretch, was eased to the outside turning for home and finished on his own courage. PASTRY showed speed from the start and had no mishaps in the running. FALSE POINT showed a good effort all the way and had no mishaps. MAERIEL propped at the start and began slowly.
