DRIVERS LICENSE LAW GOES INTO EFFECT MONDAY Despite the refusal of the House to appropriate 0,000 to state police for enforcement of the new state drivers license law, plans are being formulated in Springfield to put the measure in effect Monday, May 1. Local authorities will be responsible for its enforcement. Secretary of State Hughes said that the total number of licenses issued will likely reach-2,000,000 by-Monday.
