TIME AND AGAIN drew away into an easy lead after rounding the far turn, held the race safe thereafter and was in hand during the lst few yards. GOOD DAME was always well up and held on better today. TWOSOME, away none too well, closed strongly on the outside of the leaders in the stretch and finished fastest of all. LADY BESSIE had no excuses and finished tiring. CAPTAIN JEFFERS closed resolutely in the run home. SHERIFF EUGENE moved up on the outside at the far turn, reached a contending position entering the stretch, but tired thereafter. LADY ALL moved up strongly on the outside of the leaders rounding the stretch turn and, continuing gamely through the final eighth, drew clear in the closing stages. SEA SHELL displayed the most early speed, saved ground throughout and held on well, JIMMIE t. came strongly on the outside of the opposition in the stretch, finishing gamely. PRUDENT MISS quickly raced into contention, but tired in the run home. LEAP YEAR LADY showed some early speed. The others were outrun. Overweight— Lady All, 3 pounds: Jimmie T., 3; Jay S., 2. DARBY DUKE was hustled into the lead at once and, displaying the most speed, was never in serious trouble. JOSIE JANE was a forward factor throughout, but was no match for the winner when the final test came. DARIA, never far from the leaders, outlasted FLYING ARK in the final drive. The latter saved ground all the way and had no excuses. JUBILEE JIM was forced to work his way up on the outside and finished resolutely. The others were outrun.
