WALE SIGNAL broke swiftly to take command on the turn, after following NOBS BROTHER closely, moved clear entering the stretch and was under a drive at the end. NOBS BROTHER was vigorously ridden to- gain a short lead in the first eighth, saved ground and held on with good courage when overhauled. MISS WATCH was placed to strong urging soon after the start, raced in the first flight, but could not better her position. NETTA WOOD could not better her position. PLAYING POLLY raced very greenly. OWN ROOM also raced grcenlv and had no speed. GAY CHARM was unable to threaten. CRUSAND, strongly handled and kept close to the leaders, challenged stoutly, nearing the stretch, finished gamely in the stretch drive and was up in the last few strides. FRED ALMY had good speed to assume command early, met strong efforts from TULEYRIES STAR and fought it out stoutly in the final issue. TULEYRIES STAR, ridden hard and in the thick of contention, held on gamely after makinfj strong bids. BAV moved up gamely on the final turn and saved ground to finish with good courage. DID SHE raced well, but was unable to menace. NEVILLE was outrun. TERN HILL tired. RED WINGS, very fractious and placed outside the stalls for the start, had good speed to get into the lead at the first turn and held on strongly to withstand COUNORA. The latter broke clear and fast, raced well placed and closed with good energy. JIMMY S. made repeated challenges in the first five-eighths and held on well. FEATHER TREAD was strongly urged throughout, but could not better her position. FIRST FLING broke tardily and was outrun. ALLENE was held safe. MR. FINGERS tired. WINDSOR BOY was held safe. STEALING HOME was hard ridden and raced well. CENTERMARCH tired under his weight after going five-eighths. CHOICE GOODS tired as if short. SHORTS failed to rally. BARGAIN BOY responded willingly when shaken up in the late stages and finished gamely. DUN LUCKY failed to improve his position. PLAYMORE had much speed for the first three-quarters, then tired. The latter made early efforts, then rallied in the late stages to finish stoutly on the inside. JINNEAL worked her way upon the outside and finished with good courage. PROPRIETARY made a strong challenge while racing with the winner for the first seven-eiehths, then tired in the final drive. CHILLY EBBIE could not keep up. KESWICK HILL was outrun.
