JAMES J. MURPHY CHOSEN | AS CALIENTE STEWARD | 1 AGUA CALIENTE, Mexico, May 18 — James J. Murphy, for many years correspondent for the DAILY RACING FORM, will become one of the officials at Agua Caliente, commencing Sunday, June 7, when he will supplant George W. Schilling as presiding steward at the Mexico course. Murphys work will be confined to the Sunday racing, while the rest of the week will be devoted to Daily Racing Form. The announcement of Murphys appointment was heartily received by his many friends, not only in this region but in the Middle West, where he worked for many years before engaging in his work on the coast.
