HIGH EXPLOSIVE came strongly on the outside of the leaders through the final eighth and was rapidly wearing down the winner. JIMMIE KIRK had no excuses and tired somewhat nearing the end. BROADWAY GIRL saved ground m the stretch and finished resolutely. EASTORIAN raced into contention after rounding the far turn, but tired, as did BLUE BLAZER after showing early speed. ODD BLAZE was eased up when beaten in the last sixteenth. The others were outrun. Scratched— 73898 Hobbys Girl, 105. Overweight — Broadway Girl, 3j pounds.
