LONDON BAN ON U. S. STOCKS LONDON, England, May 18— In an effort to stop the export of British capital, principally to the United States, London stock brokers have agreed not to quote American securities until further notice. The move was decided upon after Sir John Simons statement to the House of Commons cautioning British investors from purchasing securities abroad. If investors insist upon buying American stocks it is believed the brokers will remind them of the statement made by the chancellor of the exchequer and reserve the right to refuse to handle the I transaction.
