Won ridden out; second and third driving. i GHOST TRAIN raced to the front in the opening strides, was under slight restraint while withstanding a determined bid from NELLIE Mc and HIGH TREASON, drawing out steadily through the closing, eighth. HERALDIC, steadied along back of the pace, responded gamely when called upon,-saved considerable ground at the stretch turn, moved up threateningly, but was unable to go along with the winner in the closing eighth. PARALDA, far back for the first half mile, came gamely under punishment in the stretch run. BLUE FLAME made up some ground. OCLEARY, under punishment leaving the back stretch, moved up briefly on the outside, but was unable to better his position during the stretch run. TIME INTERVAL, away iast, drew clear in the first quarter mile, was rated along in front and, hard ridden through the stretch, was clear at the close. EVA R., closer to the pace than usual during the early running, was unable to close any appreciable amount of ground when placed under punishment. TEE TEE was slow to settle into her best stride, but, fortunate in obtaining clear sailing along the rail while bettering her position, was unable to make up any ground during the closing drive. PRIPO closed some ground under punishment. BAG O WIND, on the outside while in close attendance qf the leaders, was unable-to. close any ground when placed under punishment. SCOTCH QUEEN, away fast, dropped back steadily after the opening eighth. PRINCE DANNY gave way steadily in the last five-sixteenths. Scratched— 74011 Cleaning Time. 100. ALARMING, away with the leaders, raced to the front in the run to the first turn, drew clear straightening cut on the back stretch, was rated along under slight restraint, swerved badly inside the last sixteenth, but was soon straightened out and was never seriously threatened. CONTINUITY followed along in closest chase of the pace for most of the way and held on with good energy.to the close. WISE PLAYER, on the outside and slightly restrained until leaving the back stretch, made up some ground, although unable to threaten the leaders. CHIEF EVERGREEN raced well placed all the way, saved ground throughout, but was unable to better position when placed under pressure. FOREIGN LEGION, far back early, closed a good gap and was blocked in the closing sixteenth. BOB C. had speed in spots. Overweight — Miss L. P., 2 pounds. FOURTH RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. PERLETTE had speed from the start, was taken under steadying restraint when CHANCER moved to the front, regained command and, drawing out, was being eased up through the last seventy yards. CHANCER, a forward factor all the way, held on with good energy to the close, although no match for the winner in the closing test. MINIMUM, on the outside while following the pace, responded gamely to punishment, but was unable to reach the first two. NOTICE ME came determinedly in the stretch run after being outpaced early. KENTY MISS had good speed from the start and fought it out gamely to the end. MERRY GESTURE was not hurried in the run through the back stretch, moved up gamely when called upon, drew on almost even terms with the leader - midway of the stretch, but tired through the last sixteenth. TRINA, close up all the way, held on with good energy in the closing drive. WHITE SAND, slow to begin and far back early, closed a good gap. PRINCE DEREK was unable to reach the leaders. DARK BEAU had speed from the start, increased his advantage steadily in the run through the back stretch, was then taken in hand and drew out in the last eighth. GAY MAY, under slight restraint while following within striking distance of the pace, moved up willingly when called upon, was unable to reach the winner, but held on willingly to outlast WOODLANDER. The latter suffered sharp interference rounding the first turn when KENYON C. moved through on the inside, was steadied along until the last three-eighths, responded gamely to pressure and moved up stoutly, only to tire during the last sixteenth. COL. GOODNIGHT closed some ground after trailing his field into the back stretch. KENYON C. roughed his way into a prominent position early, but flattened out badly when the real test came. PRINCIPESSA moved up gamely nearing the far turn and, despite responding gamely to punishment, was unable to close any ground during the closing test. FLOSILDA, well placed although racing wide, was unable to make up any ground in the final drive. INACTIVE, well placed early, dropped back steadily after leaving the back stretch.
