RED WINGS BUY CECIL DILLON DETROIT, Mich., May 18.— Manager Jack Adams of the Detroit Red Wings announced today the purchase of Cecil Dillon, high scoring right winger of the New York Rangers. Dillon, born at Toledo, Ohio, has been in major league hockey for nine years. For seven successive seasons he scored thirty or more points. Last season he made twenty-eight. He is thirty-one years old.
