1 DETROIT TURF NOTES — -4 s Dave Silverman, prominent Houston, Texas, business man and racing, enthusiast, was an arrival from his home, and is a guest of William Kelly, a member of the official family at the Fair Grounds. King Heullo, Carlamiss and My Corrine were unloaded by Walter Grater, veteran trainer, for the Long Run Stable. Doris Betty, another member of the stable, was unable to make the trip from Churchill Downs, due to illness, and when fully recovered will be sent here for competition. Grater stated he was notified by Harry S. Hart, manager of the Marwyck Farm, that Doloway was being shipped to him from California. Jockey Herman Schutte was an arrival andMntends applying for a license. John Littrell lost his five pounds apprentice allowance after Saturdays races. Littrell won the first race of his career at Agawam, one year ago today. S. T. Gaines, owner of the Long Run Stable, has delayed his visit here until the latter part of the week. Miss Doris Gaines, his daughter, will be married to Joe Clayton, of New Albany, Ind., this coming Wednesday, at Louisville, Ky. After the ceremony the popular owner will proceed to the Motor City for an indefinite period. Apprentice Hayden Dupuy, one of the leading riders at Oaklawn Park, and Churchill Downs, is scheduled to make his debut before Detroit racing fans Wednesday. The ten days suspension given Dupuy by the stewards at Churchill Downs will be served out by the young Louisiana rider with Tuesdays racing. Trainer F. A. Ross reported S. W. Blocks four-year-old, Presidential, a son of Hourless, suffering a blind quarter crack, which showed up after the horses race here on Thursday. J. Molbert and W. Page, two of the leading apprentices here, will lose their five pounds allowance the latter part of June.
