FAIRMOUNTS MONDAY RACING , Collinsville Course Departs From Its Schedule Because of Holiday. Ripplealong and Sun Henry Make Up Winning "Daily Double" Combination — Rolled Notes Graduates. COLLINSVILLE, 111., May 29.— A large ! crowd was on hand for the first Mondays offering of thoroughbred sport at Fairmount j Park during the spring session. Previous to todays program, of eight races, the local course had been "dark" on Mondays, but because of the Decoration Day presentation I I I to be offered tomorrow the management made arrangements to run a card of eight races on the day preceding the national holiday. Mondays offerings were productive of high interest, many thrilling finishes and victories of favorites intensified the excitement. With summer weather prevailing for the j program, the racing strip dried out considerably and the track was classified as good for the running of the opening event and fast for the sixth race, which was probably the best race of the day. In this event, eight routers matched strides over a mile and seventy yards. Atholton, Dolly E. and Chipeta received the bulk of the publics support in the feature. Also entered were Intrip, Nervous Lady, Miss Adams, My Lou-ellen and War Jest. FORM PLAYERS REWARDED. Form players were rewarded with a victory when Ripplealong reached the end of the five and one-half furlongs third race two lengths in advance of Altena, which, in turn, held a head advantage over Tad-caster to take down place honors. Burr Hickman, coupled in the mutuel field and well supported in the wagering, finished fourth. Holders of winning "Daily Double" tickets, comprised of Ripplealong and Sun Henry, winner of the second race, were rewarded with the payoff of 1. Rolled Notes graduated from the maiden ranks when she accounted for the six fur-Jongs first race in easy fashion. Maymiss finished second and Miss Vep third. Racing under the services of apprentice Willie Cas-sity, Rolled Notes moved into command soon after the start and, indulging in a brief skirmish with Big Chariot, disposed of the latter, holding the balance of the field safe, and reached the finish well in hand a length and a half in advance of Maymiss.
