PITCHBLENDE worked way forward steadily in the first half mile, was sent to the lead when straightened away in the stretch, shook off RED PIRATE and was going away at the end. RED PIRATE saved ground entering the stretch, engaged the winner at the final eighth, but was unable to hold him in the drive. CANDY FEAST, well placed throughout, closed gamely to outfinish STUCCO. The latter forced the pace for a half mile and then faltered. SAUER KRAUT, away slowly, closed with a rush through the final three-eighths. OLAMARA raced evenlv. COLORED ARTIST tired. He was then sent forward with a rush between horses and, taking the lead in the stretch, held on. gamely to the end. RING WISE raced in the first flight, moved up with a rush in the stretch and was very green when placed to punishment in the final eighth. FROBISHER was well placed throughout and outfinished BISONETTE. The latter faltered in the final quarter mile. TYRONE quit through the final quarter. COBIKE could never threaten. The latter was well placed throughout and had no mishaps. LITTLE CLEORA faltered through the final eighth after setting the pace. SEMESTER was never prominent. SOLID tired. WILLIAM PALMER saved ground entering the stretch, moved up threateningly and had no excuses. SIR BEVIDERE sprinted to a clear lead in the first three-eighths and faltered in the drive. TRAFFIC LIGHT raced evenly. MONA BELL tired. SMOKE SIGNAL lacked early speed and was outrun. SCALLY GAL was never prominent and would not extend herself in the going. The latter, shuffled back leaving the back stretch, came again between horses in the stretch run. FAR CRY moved up with a rush after going five-eighths, lost ground entering the stretch and tired.
