I AK-SAR-BEN TURF NOTES [ s ® Apprentice Frank Scheihing signalled his presence at Ak-Sar-Ben Saturday when he drove three of his mounts to victory. His ride while astride Polaris in the Inaugural Handicap was a masterpiece and it was only after the officials had the second copy of a picture that they determined the Mrs. J. C. Sawyer representative the winner. Little Murphy Palmer is "a fine little chap and from what was observed Saturday when he rode Kid Coventry and Pindars Pet, the youngster has a bright future. It was his first time to don the colors on a recognized track. The diminutive rider weighs ninety pounds, is under contract to his father and is a native of Fort Morgan, Colo. J. R. Carson was among the arrivuls from Fairmount Park, checking in with Yierries Santo, his lone performer.
