DELAWARE PARK INAUGURAL Third Season of Racing at Popular Stanton Race Course. Thirteen Stakes on Program of Headline Attractions — Wilmington Handicap Main Event Today. i STANTON, Del., May 29.— The third season of racing at the popular Stanton track of the Delaware Steeplechase and Race Association begins tomorrow. The meeting j will embrace thirty racing days, finishing on I July 4. The session conducted under the auspices of the Jockey Club and the National Steeplechase and Hunts Association, with the racing programs arranged by John P. Turner, is certain to be conducted on a high, scale. During the thirty-day period, no fewer than thirteen stakes over various distances and for horses in different classes are to be presented. Outstanding horses in all classes have been nominated for each of these tests, which terminate with the running of the 0,000 added one mile and a quarter Sussex Handicap on the closing day. The other stakes and their dates of running are as follows: The Wilmington Handicap, ,000 added, for three-year-olds and upward, at six furlongs, Tuesday, May 30. The opening-day program is a good one, headed by the ,000 added Wilmington Handicap, a dash of six furlongs, which has enticed thirteen of the shiftiest speedsters quartered in this area. Top weight of the band has been allotted to Belair Studs courageous Fighting Fox. The four-year-old son | of Sir Gallahad HI. — Marquerite is asked to carry 126 pounds, but the impost appears just in lieu of his excellent record. Next in line in the matter of weights are Hal Price Headleys Preeminent and Mrs. Louise Viaus Conquer, each of which has been given 113 pounds. Howard Bruce is represented by Jay Jay, which, under 111 pounds, will carry one pound more than the A. C. C. Stables fit and always dangerous Clingendaal. The silks and hopes of Gustave Ring will be borne by the good gray mare, Lady Maryland, under 108 pounds. The others in the race grade down very closely to the 100 pounds that Mrs. Nat Rays filly, Rissa, will bean Another handicap tops the supporting card on opening day.
