STONE RANCH raced to the front soon after the start, drew clear rounding the turn and was never seriously threatened, although ridden out smartly to the close. OKAPILIDA, hard hustled while in pursuit of the winner, swerved to the inside after straightening out in the stretch, interfering with PANJAB, for which she was disqualified. PANJAB, prominent all the way, recovered gamely after being bothered and finished with good energy. JACQUELIN HIGH came to the outside in the last three-sixteenths and was traveling fastest of all at the close. LAURANA LYON was unable to keep up. MISS MOGUL, devoid of speed was outrun all the way. FLAG ORLAND was unable to keep the pace early, began working way forwardly after going the first three-eighths, responded gamely to punishment through the last eighth and, catching the pacemaker tiring, was along in the closing few strides. ROSEMAIN, unruly at the post, opened up a good lead, but began bearing out and, tiring in the last eighth, had nothing left with which to meet the bid of the winner. MASTER HOWARD was hard ridden throughout and held on gamely in the drive. EYE HIGH was under hard riding to hold to a forward position, tiring in the last sixteenth. KNIGHTS SOX was outrun. THE SERF, confidently t handled, moved to the leaders gradually and, taking command after reaching the stretch, drew out as if much the best. SHIN PLASTER, permitted to settle into her stride and not hurried during the first three-eighths, moved up steadily on the inside and continued gamolv to the end. SUN ARBOR forced the early pace, moved up on the outside, fought it out with WISE HILDRED for the lead, but was unable to go along with the leaders in the closing test. EBONY BLUE, well placed early, was unable to keep up under pressure. WISE HILDRED quit after going a half mile. SLAP JACK was outrun Scratched— 74401 Blacky Bee, 108. PERSONAGE had speed rfom the outset and opened up a daylight advantage in the run through the back stretch after meeting an early bid from MAROC. She responded gamely when challenged near the stretch and was slowly increasing her advantage at the close. MAROC was taken in hand when unable to go along with the leader early, moved up menacingly nearing the stretch and, while holding on well, was not quite good enough. ONE-TENTH moved up steadily in the -first quarter mile, made a game effort midway of the turn, but was unable to close any ground thereafter. COOLING SPRING was unable to reach the leaders. PETER ARGO raced to the front at once, drew clear after meeting early opposition from RANGE DUST and SAVITAR, began tiring in the last eighth, bore out and forced LOVEDAYS rider to take up and come to the inside and held sway to the close. LOVEDAY moved up steadily on the outside midway ot the back stretch, was moving up stoutly on the outside when forced to take up and came to the inside. A claim of foul against the winner was allowed. ATATIME, slow to begin, dropped back in the run to the first turn, was kept under intermittent punishment during the last half mile and closed ground over tiring horses. SAVITAR moved up stoutly nearing the far turn, but tired in the last five-sixteenths. RANGE DUST had brief early speed. Overweight — Atatime, 3j pounds; Savitar, 2. Corrected weight — Loveday, 105. GOODNIGHT followed along within striking distance of the pace while under slight restraint, responded gamely to punishment and continued with good energy to the close. DAYTONIAN raced to the front straightening out in the back stretch, was rated along under slight reserve, met early opposition from GAY MAY and disposed of her, but was unable to keep pace during the last three-sixteenths. HIGH END moved up gradually after reaching the back stretch, overhauled HASTY WIRE midway of the turn and, kept under punishment, increased his advantage steadily through the stretch. HASTY WIRE outran his field from the start, opened up a good lead, was roused repeatedly leaving the back stretch and, while holding on willingly, was unable to cope with the challenge of the winner. LOVICK, reserved early, moved up threateningly nearing the stretch, but bore out on the turn and gave way steadily during the last three-sixteenths. GOLDFIN made up some ground.
