DONNA BARONA was crowded back rounding the first turn, but showed a good effort and finished courageously. POVEL, a good looker, showed a fair effort. THE YVINK worked her way up next to the inner rail after going three-quarters, then went very wide on the turn for home, but drew clear in the last few yards. HASTY COLONEL saved much ground entering the stretch, where the leaders went wide, but was not good enough, although well meant. NANTICOKE raced forwardly throughout and outstayed FRISCO. The latter raced wide turning for home. FREEPLAY ran out on all the turns, ruining his chances. The others were outrun.
