YANKS RELEASE WES FERRELL NEW YORK, N. Y., May 29— The New York Yankees have given Wes Ferrell his unconditional release. The thirty-one-year-old right-handed pitcher had lost two games and won one this season, the only member o* the Yankee staff with an everage less than .500. Being a ten-year man, Ferrell may negotiate with any club in either league. Ferrell previously played with the Washington Senators, Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians. 1 . V
