LOVER broke alertly, was taken in hand at once while kept close to the leader for five furlongs, assumed the lead under pressure and continued on gamely under urging. KENTUCKY RED, forwardly placed under restraint, rallied mildly when roused. BONNIE SANDRA set the pace to the far turn, then weakened gradually. GENTLE KAY passed tiring horses. BOBBY E. assumed command soon after the start, disposed of HEAD WOMAN after a half, saved ground and had enough left to hold ABRA safe. The latter was rushed up on the inside, then was steered wide on the far turn, losing much ground, rallied mildly under pressure and was drifting out in the late stages. DISPUTANTA passed tiring horses. PLAYANNA lacked early speed. L0NA MAE saved ground to better position. ONCE MORE showed nothing. HEAD WOMAN was used up forcing the pace. SIGN EGRET quit. LENA 0., steadied close to the pace while saving ground, assumed command when ready, drew clear, but was kept under urging to hold FUSILEER safe. The latter moved to the inside entering the stretch, was unable to pass BOLO RUNAWAY on the inside, was taken back and around, then closed willingly. BOLO RUNAWAY, rushed rapidly on the inside to take command on the far turn, then, tired nearing the end. COLO SPRINGS raced evenly. MARIE EGRET showed nothing. MOMS IMAGE showed speed for a half. ATOM RIDE was unable to keep up. OUR CHIEF passed tiring horses. HYPEACE broke well, saved ground, but was unable to threaten the leaders. FALSE FRONT showed nothing. The others were outrun. SHAKO, eased back when in close quarters on the far turn, failed to regain lost ground when straightened. 0. G. KELLEY dropped back early, then moved boldly on the final turn, but was not good enough. MULLINGAR closed strongly in the late stages. GAY MOONBEAM had speed for a half. ABIM assumed command at once, was allowed to gain a comfortable lead, then saved ground and continued on gamely under a smooth hand ride. THE DRONE, reserved off the pace for a half, moved with a rush on the outside to enter contention, came inside for the drive, brushing ALANAY, then finished stoutly after getting clear. HILL FLIGHT, in closest attendance of the pace, was trying to bear in most of the trip, weakening in the final sixteenth. ALANAY, a forward contender throughout, rallied mildly in the final furlong, came over on THE DRONE after being brushed, then went evenly. HEARTIEST raced evenly. JACOPET, in hand while saving ground early, was steered to the outside entering the lane, responded to steady pressure, caught the leaders inside the final furlong and was drawing out OCTORORA opened a long lead at once, was taken in hand and steadied, lost command after a half mile, remained on the inside and was coming again at the end. MARCH CHICK raced well placed throughout and was moving stoutly when bothered by EVENING FLIGHT. The latter assumed command after a half mile, held sway to the final turn, then tired and was bearing out. DABSTER went evenly. FIRST PEBBLE had no mishap. GLORYS CHANCE was outrun.
