Today the chemists adjourned their session to meet with the National Association of State Racing Commissioners, which is holding its fifteenth annual convention in adjoining parlors at the Hotel Commodore. At this joint gathering, three papers approved by the chemists organization were read and presented to the commissioners for further study. • Morgan voiced his organizations views on pre-race tests, while Oester spoke on the splitting of saliva and urine samples. Both addresses are reviewed in other columns of this paper. Lewis E. Harris of Lincoln, Neb., also read a paper discussing cooperation between the racing chemists and turf veterinarians.
