TIGER MAN, in hand and well ridden to the stretch, responded to steady handling during the drive and wore down WOW in the last strides. WOW lost ground at the frist turn, moved up boldly to assume command after leaving the backstretch and held on determinedly, but could not withstand the winner. TIMMY, outrun to the stretch, finished fast in a sharp effort. PENNSTOWN failed to rally when set down in the drive. PINK DEVIL never was dangerous. JUST-MADE-IT was done after going a half. BALLYRAG made the pace for five-eighths mile, was crowded at the upper turn, then tired. DISDOMO could not keep up. Just-Made-It claimed by Hope Stable. Wow claimed by M. H. VanBerg. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. CLEANED, never far back, was sent to the outside during the drive when blocked, responded to strong handling when clear and wore down VINITA DOT in the last strides. VINITA DOT raced evenly to the stretch, was permitted to swerve to the inside when taking command in the stretc hand, after causing a slight jam, continued willingly, but could not hold the winner. CHARIVARI, much used racing NEYLAND into defeat, faltered during the drive. TETRA ROSE lacked early speed. NEYLAND raced prominently to the stretch, then gave way. CAN STEP was outrun. KINGS LADY raced wide during the last three-eighths. WHAT A DAY was hustled up fast after the start, then tired after displaying brief speed. MY EMPIRE, in hand while steadily improving her position to the stretch, assumed command when settled for the drive and drew clear under mild urging. ORISKANY, away slowly, saved ground to the stretch, closed determinedly, but could not menace the winner. DR. ROCHE went to the front early, bore out badly while making the pace to the stretch and could not better his position when straightened for the drive. SANTA CLAUS gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. THE PROBLEM tired badly after racing well for three-quarters. AGRARIAN SON was done early. Santa Claus claimed by G and G Stable. IS THERE, away sluggishly, made up ground to the stretch, then failed to rally when set down in the drive. STEADY BEAU was outrun. BENNINGTON could not keep up. GOTHIC, outrun early, responded readily when sent to the outside for the stretch run and, after wearing down the leaders, won going away. DA DO moved up boldly entering the stretch and, after taking command, was unable to withstand the winner. BAUMBACH failed to rally when set down in the stretch. TOP VALLEY went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch, then weakened. HI NEIGHBOR lacked early speed and was never prominent TABOURET was done early. SONS TWINKLE tired after showing brief speed. BILL LARKMEAD bore out badly throughout and was eased during the stretch run when hopelessly beaten. Da Do claimed by J. Paddock.
